1. About DocToSheet
DocToSheet is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product operated by Gareth Peterson trading as DocToSheet (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our service automatically extracts structured data from PDF and DOCX documents and writes it into Google Sheets. By using DocToSheet you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. The Service
DocToSheet provides automated document data extraction. Specifically:
• You upload PDF or Word documents via our web application.
• We extract structured data fields using AI (OpenAI GPT-4.1-mini via API).
• Extracted data is written directly into your Google Sheet.
The service is provided on a credit basis. Each document processed consumes one credit. Credits are allocated monthly according to your subscription plan and do not roll over at month end, except for any additional top-up credits purchased separately.
3. Subscriptions and Payment
Subscription plans are offered on a monthly basis via Stripe. Current pricing is displayed at doctosheet.co.uk. By subscribing you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
• Ensure you have the right to upload and process any documents you submit to DocToSheet.
• Ensure your Google Sheet is correctly configured and shared with our service account.
• Not use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Keep your login credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
5. Third-Party Services
DocToSheet relies on the following third-party platforms to deliver the service. By using DocToSheet you acknowledge that your data may be processed by these providers in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies:
• Bubble.io — application hosting and data storage
• Make.com — automation and workflow processing
• OpenAI API — AI-based document extraction (data is not used to train AI models by default)
• Google Sheets / Google APIs — output destination for extracted data
• CloudConvert — conversion of Word documents to PDF for processing
• Stripe — payment processing
We are not responsible for downtime, data loss, or service changes caused by these third-party providers.
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary: your document content is processed transiently to extract data and is not stored permanently by DocToSheet beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.
7. Intellectual Property
DocToSheet and its underlying technology remain our intellectual property. Your documents and your extracted data remain yours. We claim no ownership over your content.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocToSheet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to errors in data extraction, loss of data, or service interruptions. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the service poses a risk to us or other users. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting hello@doctosheet.co.uk.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or via the application at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
